Disclosures

Last updated August 2026

Draft for review. This is a working draft prepared for Atlas Risk Partners and has not been reviewed by counsel. It should be reviewed by an attorney familiar with insurance producer regulation in each state where Atlas transacts business before the site goes live.

Licensing

Licensing information is available on request. Please contact us at hello@atlasriskinsurance.com and we will confirm the states in which we are able to transact business before beginning work.

Compensation

Atlas is typically compensated by commission paid by the insurance carrier as a percentage of premium. In some cases we may agree a negotiated fee with a client instead of, or in addition to, commission. Where we do, that arrangement is disclosed and agreed in writing in advance.

Carriers and wholesalers may also pay contingent or profit-sharing compensation based on the overall volume, retention or loss experience of business placed with them. Details of any such arrangements applicable to your placement are available on request.

Independence

Atlas is an independent brokerage. We are not owned by an insurance carrier and have no obligation to place business with any particular market.

Surplus lines

Some coverages appropriate for technology companies — particularly technology errors and omissions, cyber, and management liability for venture-backed companies — are frequently placed with non-admitted surplus lines carriers. Surplus lines insurers are not subject to the same rate and form regulation as admitted carriers and are generally not backed by state guaranty funds. Where a placement is made on a surplus lines basis, we disclose it and provide the applicable state notice before binding.

Service standards

The service standards published on this site describe how we aim to operate. They are commitments to our clients, not contractual warranties, and do not create liability for a delay caused by an insurer, a wholesaler, or information outstanding from a client.

Claims

Coverage decisions are made by the insurance carrier, not by Atlas. We advocate on your behalf but cannot guarantee a claim outcome.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. If you encounter a barrier using this site, email hello@atlasriskinsurance.com and we will address it and provide the information you need in an alternative format.
