The placement

Seven phases, visible the whole way.

01Day one

Tell us about the business

One structured submission — company profile, what you build, headcount by state, data you hold, contract requirements and current coverage. Roughly six minutes. Upload the declarations pages, loss runs and contracts you already have and we build the rest from them.

What you get

  • A recommended programme with the reasoning attached
  • A clear list of anything still needed to go to market
  • Your answers stored once and reused across the markets we approach
02Same business day

We review the risk

A broker reads it the day it arrives, checks limits and requirements against your actual contracts, and comes back with a market strategy. If your current programme is already well built, this is where we tell you so.

What you get

  • A written recommendation with limits and rationale
  • A gap analysis against any contract you send us
  • A realistic timeline, including anything that will slow it down
03Within 48 hours

We approach targeted markets

We build the submission underwriters need — technical description, exposure data, controls narrative — and take it to carrier and wholesale markets appropriate to your risk rather than to whoever answers first.

What you get

  • Carrier applications generated from your submission
  • A submission written to be read, not skimmed
  • Progress you can see rather than have to chase
043–10 business days

We compare the options

Coverage, terms and pricing reviewed side by side. We negotiate terms as well as price, and show you what differs between options — sublimits, retentions, waiting periods and exclusions included.

What you get

  • A side-by-side comparison on substance, not just premium
  • Plain-English notes on what each difference would mean in a claim
  • A recommendation, and the reasoning behind it
05The day you approve

Bind and document

We bind, issue certificates, and give you a written summary of what you bought — including the exclusions worth knowing about before a claim rather than during one.

What you get

  • Binders and certificates issued promptly
  • A plain-English programme summary
  • Notes on the sublimits and exclusions that matter for your business
06Ongoing

We service the account

Certificates the same day. Contracts reviewed before you sign them. Policy changes handled as they happen — new states, new headcount, new customers. Claims reported immediately and advocated through resolution.

What you get

  • Same-day certificates of insurance
  • Contract and insurance-exhibit review
  • Mid-term changes, endorsements and claims advocacy
0790 days before expiry

We prepare the renewal

Renewal work starts three months out, not three days. We refresh exposure data, update the narrative, re-market where it makes sense, and show you a side-by-side of what changed in the terms — not only the price.

What you get

  • Refreshed exposure and controls narrative
  • A market strategy and a re-marketing decision with reasons
  • A year-over-year comparison of terms, not only premium
At a glance

The whole placement, on one page.

The sequence an Atlas placement follows, whether it's your first policy or a programme moving from another brokerage.

Your placement00 / 05
  1. 01

    Submission reviewed

    Same business day

You tell us about the business once. We read it the day it arrives and come back with anything still outstanding.

  2. 02

    Coverage & requirements reviewed

    Same business day

Contracts, exposures, limits and requirements checked against what you actually need to carry — and what you don't.

  3. 03

    Markets approached

    Typically within 48 hours

We approach carrier and wholesale markets suited to the risk, with a submission built to be read rather than skimmed.

  4. 04

    Options compared

    Typically 3–10 business days

Coverage, terms and pricing reviewed side by side — including the exclusions that decide whether a claim pays.

    Promptly after approval

Issued promptly once you approve, with a plain-English summary of what you bought.

Questions

The practical stuff

A broker. Programmes are placed by a broker, who signs off on the recommendation and stays accountable for the advice. Our systems prepare applications, assemble submissions and organise comparisons — they do not select your limits or bind coverage.

Most programmes are best moved at renewal. We'll review what you have now and tell you whether it's worth moving. If it is, we start ninety days before your expiry so there's real leverage in the market.

Report to us immediately — late notice is one of the few reliable ways to lose coverage you paid for. We handle first notice of loss, coordinate with the carrier's panel counsel and stay in the matter through resolution.

Yes, and we'd prefer to. Send the insurance exhibit and we'll tell you within a business day whether you comply today, what compliance would cost, and which requirements are worth negotiating rather than buying.

The submission covers most of it. Beyond that: current declarations pages, loss runs for the last three to five years, your standard customer agreement, and financials if we're placing D&O.

Standard carrier commission, disclosed on request. For complex programmes we can work on a negotiated fee instead. We'll tell you which arrangement applies before you engage us.

Get started

Get covered without the runaround.

Tell us about the business once. A broker reviews it the same day and comes back with a plan, a timeline and what we need to take it to market.
